The Cormorant
Our short diamond tailed fish design: 1 to 5 fins. Like it’s namesake: fast in the water, rapid directional changes, duck dives beautifully.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
A classic fish in spirit, this design tapers in the rear third to a generous diamond tail. The design is 21″ to 21.5″ inches wide. This width combined with its classic fish rocker makes it a real paddler relative to its short length. A person of intermediate surfing ability and average body proportions can enjoy surfing this shape 2″ or 3″ shorter than their height.
Compare and Contrast:
The board is shorter and wider than the Kestrel shape but with similar rocker. Very close to the Tern but with the broad diamond giving it slightly less planing surface in the tail. A smoother response curve rail to rail rather than the “clipped” profile change of the Tern’s classic swallow tail.
