Breaks Selection utilizes a Mechanic-> Dynamic-> Aesthetic (MDA) design philosophy. This is a fancy way of saying “form follows function”. The conditions, board dimensions and surfer’s physical capabilities (mechanics) drive the choices the surfer has in interacting with the wave (dynamics) to create a particular experience (aesthetic). We work with you backwards from this end point to figure out what the right wave riding tool is for you to get where you want to be.
The better we communicate with you, the better we can work through this process together. We want to understand you and your needs. Don’t be shy on stopping by the shaping bay. If that’s not practical we can hash out a lot by phone and even email.
