Distinguishing Characteristics:
A short, full bodied classic fish shape most often done with a quad canard fin set up. The design is typically 21″ to 21.5″ inches wide with mellow rocker. A person of intermediate surfing ability and average body proportions can enjoy surfing this shape 3″ or 4″ shorter than their height. Go even shorter for more response or longer for an emphasis on trim and glide.

Compare and Contrast:
Like the Cormorant design, this shape paddles well for its size. The “clipped” template profile in the rear gives the board considerable surface area in the tail. This translates into exceptional planing speed and a pivoty, skatey flow through turns.
